Adda Alert is a citizen reporting and civic safety platform. Please read these guidelines before submitting.

A. Who operates Adda Alert

Adda Alert is operated as a citizen reporting and civic safety platform. It is not an official police website unless expressly stated through formal authorisation. Adda Alert is not an emergency service and is not a substitute for filing an official police complaint, FIR, or legal report.

B. What we collect

  • Category of alert
  • Optional photo
  • Optional GPS location, only if you grant permission
  • Optional landmark or approximate area
  • Optional notes
  • District / city
  • Submission timestamp
  • A report code generated for you
  • Status history of the report

C. What we do not ask for

  • Name
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Aadhaar or other government ID
  • Login or account
  • Personal identity details

Reports are designed to avoid collecting personal identity by default. For your safety and privacy, please do not include your name, phone number, personal address, or details that can identify you in the notes or photo.

D. How we use reports

Reports are reviewed to identify patterns, assess seriousness, reduce duplicates, and escalate serious alerts to relevant authorities where appropriate.

E. What public users can see

Public users cannot browse individual reports. The public status lookup only shows limited non-sensitive information — report code, category, district / city, submitted date, current status, last updated date, and a public note if a reviewer has added one.

Photos, exact GPS, full notes, landmarks, private admin notes, the reporter's identity, and any details about alleged offenders are never shown publicly.

Public trends only show district / city-level aggregate counts after review, with a 24-hour delay.

F. What we do not guarantee

Submitting an alert does not guarantee police action, investigation, FIR registration, or any legal outcome. All submissions are unverified citizen alerts until reviewed. A submission is not legal proof of any wrongdoing.

While the platform is designed to avoid collecting identifying information by default, no online platform can promise absolute technical or legal untraceability. Please use good judgement and do not include details that can identify you.

G. Data deletion / contact

For privacy questions or deletion requests, contact: contact@addaalert.com.

H. Data retention

Reports may be retained for review, pattern analysis, abuse prevention, and civic safety documentation. A formal retention period will be published soon.

I. Safety warning

  • Do not submit your own personal identity details in notes or photos.
  • Do not endanger yourself to collect evidence.
  • Do not confront anyone. Do not trespass.
  • Misuse of this platform to make false or malicious reports is itself an offence.
  • If you are in immediate danger, call 100 or 112.
